Just think!

We’ve already raised $70,000 from 350 people, an average of $200 each. If just 150 more people will each donate $200, our goal will be reached!

I have just made my contribution, and fully expect to save far more than the amount of my donation on future property taxes IF WE DO NOT HAVE TO PAY FOR THE O'BRIEN BACK ROOM DEAL far into the future. Helping to fund a well-prepared and well-presented legal challenge is a wise investment for the taxpayers of this city.

Just think, and let's get it right!

She is absolutely right. The city has broken some of its own bylaws, and various provisions of the Ontario Municipal Act. Plus, the city acted in bad faith on Lansdowne time and again--by keeping information from the public, and even from council, by providing incomplete or misleading information, and by delaying information council needed in order to make informed decisions. In fact, our lawyer has a list of 23 instances in which the city has acted in bad faith.

We have a strong case and a very good chance of winning. Thanks to many of you, the money is flowing into our legal challenge fund. We’re getting there, but we’re not there yet, so PLEASE KEEP THE CONTRIBUTIONS COMING! Otherwise Ottawa taxpayers will be paying for our city’s folly for decades to come.

Here’s another idea: this is the season of giving, how about making a gift to the Lansdowne Legal Challenge in the name of a friend or family member?
